Thinking back to a memory around a communal table, this project conceptualizes a possible future where the table on my family home’s front porch deteriorates and needs to be reparied. Following in my father’s footsteps, who reparied the rest of the front porch over the last 20 years, I look to combine my father’s restoration techniques with my own interest in repair using a darning technique.
